Electrical problem
1993 Buick Roadmaster V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Previous owner installed new alternator and battery. Said car needed rear shocks and had an oil leak. The oil filter adapter had a crack(aluminum) replaced no more leaks. Cranked several times and drove 10 miles and noticed battery/alternator guage was at the red edge area. Cranked drove to my dads 200ft. Tried to crank and got a chatter dead battery noise. Jumped off and as soon as turned on lights car died. Switched lights off and jump started again lights came on by themselves and started to sputter and died. Noticed with ignition and lights off still had lights on. What do I need? Voltage regulator, light switch, or short? Please recommend as I'm unemployed and need transportation at this time. Thank You.

You could have a short causing this but also ceckyour fusible links running off the starter. They will be easy to see and if they arebad they will be burnt. Make sure to check them with the battery disconnected. And charge your battery again.
