Rear Hatch

My 2006 Buick Rendezvous rear hatch will not unlock. A piece of fabric is lodged between the "hook and eye" of the door. The electric release "clicks" but the hook does not move. All the fabric has been removed that can be reached. Is there a manual release? No info is found in the car manual. thanks!

You may have to use the key and pull real hard...

Then what you should do is get a good rag, wrap it around a large screwdriver or prybar and as the switch is acctivated, pry up! The rag is to protect the paint!
