2000 Buick Regal Windshield Wipers

During this last Ice storm, I noticed my windshield wipers were not working. I can hear the motor running and sometimes the windshield wipers will slightly move, and when I look where the arm of the wipers meet I guess the motor, I can see the motor moving the shaft I guess. But the wipers will not move, but the motor is working properly. Any ideas on what to do?

I have seen this problem before. Did you check the "gear" under the wiper arm?If this looks good then the next step is to make sore the motor is working properly if not replace the motor if it is then replace the wiper arms.
