I recently had my coolant system replaced, and now have problems with the air conditioning, which is not in the same area I am told. When I turn on the air conditioning it blow hot air on the driver side and cold on the passenger side, it has dual contols. I seem to even have heat when using just the vent, or when everything is turned off. Could it be a damper stuck? And if so where is it located?

The auto repair people replaced the following:
Intake manifold (fuel injected) intake manifold set, thermostat gasket, 195f thermostat, wynns cooling system flush kit, cooling tube, removed and replaced the antifreeze, oil filter, engine oil, plus misc. Shop supplies, this was all to correct the coolant leak, at a cost of $1063.03.

I have a 2001 Regal that has the same problem (from time to time). I have noticed that this only occurs in very humid conditions. If I shut the car off, and restart, the problem usually goes away. For me, this happens so rarely, that I have not taken the car in to the shop. I suspect some sensor has some humidity and after the car warms up (even just for a short time), a restart makes the problem disappear.
