Engine Performance problem
1999 Buick Regal Automatic 130000 miles

My 1999 Buick Regal won't start. My service engine light came on about 2 days ago and it just flashes. Yesterday the car started fine, but when my son got ready to go to school, it wouldn't start. I had a friend look at it and I was told there was too much oil in it. It cranked just fine until last night. It turns over and everything, but then it shuts off.

Hi:
There are several things that could cause this problem. If the engine light is on, there is at least one storred trouble code in the computer. You need to have the computer scanned.
