Car runs fine when your driving but sometime check engine light comes on. When your sitting at a stop with the brake on or when in park the engine races and you can hear a hissing noise. What can cause this. The temperature gauge is normal.

I IMAGINE YOU HAVE A 3.1L ENGINE. THEY HAVE A VACUUM PORT RIGHT BY THE THROTTLE BODY THAT POPS OUT ON THESE ENGINES. YOU CAN EITHER CLEAN IT AND PUT SOME SILICONE ON IT AND REINSTALL IT OR YOU CAN REPLACE THE SET UP. THEY SHOULD HAVE THE PARTS IN YOUR PARTS STORE HELP SECTION. THEY HAVE THEM BECAUSE ITS VERY COMMON, I HOPE THIS HELPS.
