I have a buick 2001 park ave. approx 143,000 miles.I am sorry i do not know the engine size. It is making a whirring sound which I believe to be the tires or something to do with them. I am taking my car to the tire shop but I do not want to pay for a bunch of uneccesary stuff. What should I be asking for or whatever.
Thanks
Donna

Has the noise gotten worse as th etires are wearing? does it change pitch with tire speed? Look at the tires and see if the tread looks good. Might want to have them rotate the tires if they are good treadwise, you might have a wear pattern going on the fronts that is making the noise, rotating them straight back to the rear will get rid of the pattern and maybe the noise
