Ok in my ever increasing Buick woes, my 2000 PA is now coming up with a Throttle Position Sensor code. The car is now stalling randomly since the light came on and it's actually much worse since I removed it and put some contact cleaner in it and put it back on. I honestly don't see how such a big role this tiny little thing does. Anyway, since I put it back in, my car won't even go in to second gear, which is what it was doing when my MAF sensor briefly quit on me about a month ago but I'm not getting a code for that anymore. (Frick'n sensors!). Another thing it's doing is the power goes way down when I go from Park to Reverse. The dash lights dim and my battery guage goes way down.
I have to wonder if all these problems I'm having might be my alternator and it's making these sensors buggy, due to lack of power. Just a theory.
Anyway, will replacing the TP sensor really solve the problems I am having? It just doesn't look like something that can cause such problems or even break down. :)
Thanks,
Jeff
