There is a loud ticking noise coming from my engine. It was a company car for a oil company. The noise was'nt there when I bought it. I used regular unleaded until the ticking started then I switched to mid grade and it seemed to help for awhile. Now the noise is really loud. I change the oil regularly but it does'nt help. Could it be a weak oil pump? The oil pressure fluctuates when idleing but stabilizes when driving. PLEASE HELP! It's driving me crazy!

Could it be a weak oil pump?
Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit abnormal could mean a weak oil pump-also be lifters/camshaft problem.
