1993 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Good afternoon, my rear view mirror fell off. I am going to re glue it but the piece of metal that glues to the windshield isn't being very friendly? I know it's tappered and comes out the bottom but it just doesn't slide out? Can yu help me out please?

Thanks T.

you mean you can't remove the mirror assembly from the metal button? if so, it's because there is a phillips screw or torx screw someone on the mirror assembly that tightens it down onto the metal button. it's sometimes hidden by a plastic trim piece but you should be able to find it pretty easily. loose that screw up and it should slide on out off the button.
