I believe you have a bad crankshaft position sensor. If you can get it to do die in your driveway, then take a hose or pail of water and pour it on the crankshaft pully area behind where the belts are. Then try to start the car. If it starts right up then the CPS is problem. This sensor starts to heat up when going bad and shorts itself out. When it cools, the car usually starts back up. The longer the problem goes on the worse it gets till it won't start.
