My car Temp light went on. Car died out. I checked under hood, saw no coolant in the "plastic container", so add 1 gallon of coolant. Car started, drove 2 miles, then "check engine" light came on. I still drove 1 more mile home, pulled into my garage.
Later, added more water to radiator. Now car will not turn over or start. Battery is OK, starter is OK.

Is my engine frozen for good? Can it be repaired?
I have no idea why there wasn't any coolant, as we check it every 3000 miles, when oil is changed. Never saw any signs of leakage. What could have caused me to lose the coolant.

If there's no external leak at all, the coolant is being burn in the cylinders could be a blown headgasket, cracked head or block intake manifold leak-

Check if the engine is seized up by manually turning the crankshaft pulley
