If you think the problem is the wiring circuit, splice in a new wire, That is faster than trying to find the faulty place. To splice, you leave a pigtail at both ends, splice in a new wire. You don't have to properly route the new wire till your sure everything works ok.
You may have to check the back of fuse box to make sure nothing burned or melted.
I realize this is an old post, in the future hope you don't have any vehicle issues, but, if you do, keep the site in mind.
