My was sputtering and making all kinds of noises and my check engine light came on. I pulled over and shut it off. It will not turn on. My battery, alternator, fuel pump are all good. Someone suggeted it could be electronic spark control module? What is it, how is it tested.

You can take it off the car and take it to Autozone or someplace like that. They can test it for you for no charge.

Electronic spark conrol module tested good. So I towed the car home. I guess next I will try starter for testing. If that is not it I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas?

Make sure you don't have engine coolant in the oil. If it quit while driving and then the starter wouldn't crank the engine, it could be hydrolocked with coolant. Try to rotate the crankshaft a couple of revolutions with a breaker bar or ratchet.
