I have a 1994 Buick Lesabre with 130000 miles on it, 3.8 motor V-6. When we drive it and it gets hot the car dies, we have had the ignition module changed and it still has not fixed the problem. My son can be driving down the road and it will just die and will not start back up he usually waits a couple of hours after it cools down and it fires right up. Any suggestions on what it could be. Our mechanic can not figure it out either. He has hooked it up to the computer and nothing shows up. Thanks

Try testing the coil/camshaft/crankshaft sensors.

When it dies out immediately check for spark. Disconnect a plug wire or 2 ground it to the engine while cranking it over do you have spark? If not continue to troubleshoot the ignition system.

If the computer don't get the signals from the cam/crank sensors it will not tell the ICM to fire the coil therefore no spark will occur.
