Fuel pump is on the side of the engine, towards the front.
GM was just starting to put different engines in different cars in the mid 70s. So you could have a Chevy 350 in your buick.
If your distributor is on the front of your engine then you have a buick. If it's in the back it could be Olds, Pontiac or Chevy.
Changing the pump is pretty straight forwards.
Remove lines and hoses.
Remove bolts.
Remove pump
and put it all back together.
On some engines, like a Chevy, there will be a shaft that keeps sliding down in your way when trying to put the pump lever back in.
