How long should it take an expert mechanic to change my spark plugs, spark plug wires and fuel filter

How long it takes and what it pays are two different things. Book time for the wires is 1.2 hrs and that time includes testing the wires, plugs 1.1 hrs, fuel filter is.5 hrs. Altogether it is around 2.8 hrs of labor. A good tech will have it done much faster than that. This industry pays on a "flat rate" for jobs, how long it takes is up to the tech and his abilities. When doing a job like this, the wires and plugs "overlap" to some degree, so these things are taken into consideration when pricing a full tune up
