When my car is idle I can hear like a tick tick, noise underneath the hood, but when I go to drive the car its still ticks. Like when I accelerate the ticking noise will speed up, and go faster. Does anybody know what this could be. I've been told its the lifter, or the timing belt. Can anybody help?

Does the sound come from the top of the engine? If so, it is a lifter or rocker problem. Check the rockers for excessive play.

Let me know what you find.

My car ticks but my rocker are all fine no play. The noise gets worst when reving up the engine, and then the noise is loud and sounds like a rod knocking
or bearings but crankshaft and bearing are all fine. Cylinder 5 is miss firing also. We have got the motor torn down and now checking everything that could be wrong

Make sure to check the mains and rods with plastigauge and you may have a collapsed lifter that is causing the ticking. Check for wear on the pushrods where it may have been pounding on it.

Let me know what you find.
