Transmission problem
1994 Buick Century 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I'm having a problem the transmission will not shift unless I let go of the gas then it will shift and will not go over 45 mph.

Did this start all of a sudden? Is the check engine light on? How many miles are on this? It may be a speed sensor. Without a little more info I cant give you a guaranteed answer.

Yes it did start all of a sudden the check engine light is on and the car has 183 miles on it thats what I thought it was a speed sensor but not for sure.
