Was running awful, almost stalled, check engine light came on. Had it checked and it said cylinder 2, misfire. Changed the coil pack, plugs and wires. Still reads cylinder 2 misfire. The gas mileage is better, runs almost perfect, just bucks a little when stopped. The check engine light went out but came back on again. That is when we had it checked again. Same code came up. We have a big trip from Tennessee to NJ for Thanksgiving. Wondering if it'll be okay?

Okay. I attached the test for a cylinder 2 misfire. You are correct that it could the items you replaced but there is more to it when that doesn't solve it.

If there is a misfire that causes the light to turn on then I would not suggest taking it on a trip. The reason is, if there is a larger engine issue such as a compression issue then you may get strained and need an engine replacement. Clearly this is the extreme possibility and the other side of that is you go on the trip and everything is fine.

If it were me, I would either figure this out prior or just rent a car and enjoy the trip and then deal with it when you get home.

Let me know what you find with this testing and we can go from there.
