Welcome to 2CarPros.

Are you referring to a warning light in the vehicle? If so, the first thing I recommend is to check the brake fluid level. Under the hood on the driver's side of the firewall you will find the brake master cylinder. Confirm that the fluid isn't low. There is a level sensor to protect you from allowing the fluid from getting too low.

If you look at picture 1, you will see a general picture of the master cylinder. The white plastic reservoir is where the fluid goes. There are level indicators on it, one will say full the other low or add. On the reservoir cap, it will indicate the type of brake fluid that you must use. Most likely, it will say Dot 3 or Dot 4. If you add, make sure to get the correct type.

I attached picture 2 which is specific to your vehicle and circled the part. It isn't a great pic, but should look the same as what's on your vehicle.

Let me know if this is the problem or if you have other questions. Also, if you find the fluid is very low, either you have a leak or are in need of brakes.

Take care,
Joe
