ONE DAY I WAS PULLING FUSES TO CHECK FOR ONE BURNED AND AFTER I FINISHED THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE OTHER THING THAT HAPPENED A FEW WEEKS LATER IS THAT MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND THE AMBER TRIANGLE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON, AFTER A FEW DAYS MY SPEEDOMETER STARTED WORKING INTERMITTENTLY AND FINALLY STOPEED WORKING. GIVING ME A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODE P0500, SPEED SENSOR. I PULLED SENSORS FROM ALL WHEELS AND CHECKED THEM WITH OHMETER, I DO NOT KNOW IF I DID IT CORRECTLY BUT WITH MY OHMETER SET AT 20M THEY ALL READ BETWEEN 16.4 TO 17.6 OR SO, IT IS HARD TO GET INTO THE CAVITY OF THE TERMINAL HOUSING. PLEASE HELP ! ! !

The fault you report sounds like the DSC control unit is bad and a new one will need to be coded to the car. The DSC unit sends a conditioned signal to the instrument cluster and this reflects indicated road speed. When the fault is a speed sensor and the symptoms are as you have reported, replacement of the DSC unit is in order. It retails for about $1100 and it will need to be coded to the car, or you could try a unit from a salvage vehicle, call (619)444-2290 and talk to John or Sean, they run Autobahn dismantling and have lots of BMW parts.

Yes I have read this answer on the forum before, was hoping for a complete answer, since I sent money for the question. You do not say anything about my air bag light and also can the dsc module be repair through a rebuild kit from BMW?
If so where is the module located? Could you email me a picture?
Thank you

The fault for the SRS system may be related to the pulling of fuses. The fault indicator is often quite sensitive to voltage fluctuations and the fault lamp may be on due to this possibility.

The SRS issue may be due to several factors. The fault needs to read out and the fault explanation should guide the repair. It is quite possible the ABS issue is going to require the same need for a scan and a read out from the proprietary software that the dealer and most independents use. Have this operation performed and let me know the outcome. The problem with modern BMW automobiles is that they are not user friendly, you cant fix them when there is an electrical issue that requires the equipment at the dealer level, so there is no magic bullet that I can give you, and I am sorry if that is what you are seeking in our forum.
