89 bmw labor cost

i am haveing a friend change the head gasket on my 89 bmw and he doesnt want me to pay him. so i am wondering what the fair price is for that kind of labor...thank you

It’s a great gift he is offering you
It depend on your car model but no less than $500 for labor
