BMW question

I have a 1987 BMW, model 325i, with over 200,000 miles. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. I want to check the transmission fluid level, but am not sure how to do that. How do I check and fill it with transmission oil?

On one side of the trans there will be a set of plugs. One will be low "drain" the other will be about half way up that is the fill. Should be at the bottom of the hole with the car level
