My car will not start, I am not getting any spark to the plugs and I can not hear my fuel pump as usual, nor can I hear the usual electric sound around the engine. I plugged a 330 ecu in and I can now hear my fuel pump and my engine bay sounds alive! But car will not start, when I go to start the car, the starter motor is turning the engine but the car will not start. Can I get the 330 ecu programmed to my car? Or is it easier to find a ecu with same model and part number? And if I do find ecu with same model and part number, when I plug the ecu in will the car start or will I still need to programme the ecu? Diffrent people saying diffrent things. Thanks

There is something going on, the DME from another car without the handshake from EWS from it's dedicated car should not allow the car to do anything, not even crank over. The DME in the E46 chassis should not be able to be fitted to any car except the one it is aligned to, there is no swapping them.
