Engine Performance problem
1990 BMW 325 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 250k miles

The manual says that you have to remove the radiator and fan to replace the cap and rotor.

Is there an easier way that won't make you drop the bottom screw of the triad?

The Manual is incorrect. It is not a big deal to reach in there with the correct 8mm socket and remove the cap. It is easier if the fan and the fan shroud has been removed, but it is possible to do it without removing the fan and the shroud.
