Recently fitted rebuilt engine but suspect that balance shafts are incorrectly timed. Short period of slight vibration between 1800 and 2500 revs. Two part question. How big is the job and would it be ok to keep driving it? Thanking you in advance for any help you may be able to give

There aren't balance shafts in an N42 motor. It could be software, has BMW been involved?

My bad, the balance shafts are part of the oil pump and must not be separated. TIS does not offer any instruction for their reassembly.
