I started hearing a clicking noise in my dash when I opened my car door. I researched this online and found that a bad blend door actuator makes this noise and failure on the Ford Explorers is a common problem. I didn't notice any issues with the AC/temperature/vents, etc. Just the clicking. I researched the replacement part, purchased it and replaced it. The clicking noise did not stop with the new actuator installed. Before I put the glove box back in, I could hold my hand on the new actuator while the clicking noise was happening and feel it ticking behind the actuator? Ideas? I did not check the door manually and try to turn it manually before installing the replacement part. Could there be an obstruction that is preventing it from opening? Could it be a fuse/relay issue? What fuse/relay powers it? I cannot find a clear answer in the diagrams?
