When you turn the climate control knob from cold to hot a continuous clicking noise results. I did some research online and think it may be the blend door actuator. The info varies from whether this is a do it yourself project or one I need to take in - several people were saying this would cost around $1000 to fix. I know the part is around $65. Any thoughts? It's getting cold here in Colorado

I think with some finagling you can access it through the glove box and small 5.5mm wrench. Its located on top of heater box, you can try tapping it with a hammer and a screwdriver and switch from cold to hot and see if that will jar it free enough to go to full hot then leave it there.
