I was given some bad gas when I ran out of gas someone stopped by said they had gas I stupidly accepted as I was in need. Only a little to get me to the gas station, and as I started driving and about 10 minutes later the car completely shut off. We proceeded to find out it may have had some water in it. So then we put more gas in it along with sea foam, and it refused to start. We tried starting fluid as well. And now after trying a few things ended up getting it towed home. We couldn’t find if we were able to reset the fuel pump, as some things on google say you can but couldn’t actually figure out how. My dad is used to working on cars but this being slightly newer he just needs direction. So please help!

Good morning,

There is no reset for the fuel pump.

When you used starting fluid, did it start and stall?

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key?

I would check the fuel pressure first to be sure it is working

If it is contaminated fuel, the tank needs to be dropped out, flushed out of all debris and new fuel added. The filter would have to be changed as well and the lines to the injectors cleaned out.
