My car listed above backfires when I switch off the ignition. It goes on for like three to six minutes. I noticed lately that it will not backfire when I turn off the ignition when it is in drive gear but backfires in park. Please what is the solution? Thanks

Engine is running on, can be due to incorrect ignition timing, or a hot cylinder. It is basically acting like a diesel. Lean mixture can cause internal cylinder temperatures to be very high, this condition can damage the engine. It can burn holes in a piston and I have seen a crank break due to run on. Get this looked at ASAP.
