It sounds like you have an encoder or a wiring issue.

Here is a guide and some diagrams to help you see whats going on:

Please let us know what happens and upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

The stability track light will stay on if the encoder is stuck. It can also mean you have a 4wd drive switch that is out.

The switch is common as well and is an easy fix.

Please let us know what happens.

I hit the brakes in my car on the freeway and the brakes are locking up on passenger side and is making a horrible noise. The abs dash light came on along with traction control in the I/P and stability service now comes on in my message center. My traction control button is also really hot now. How can I fix this?
What do I look for? If you have any diagrams with instructions it would be really helpful. Thanks for any information.

You need to have it scanned for an abs problem first then have the brakes checked you may have a frozen caliper.

Engine Performance problem
2007 GMC Yukon V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 40700 miles

I have a 2007 Yukon, 5.3L and have recently had problems with:
1) Engine Oil Low Light comes on but oil is full
2) Engine Light Goes on and stays on
3) Service Stabilitrak message comes on sporadically and when it does shifts very hard
4) Traction Control Off message comes on sporadically

Dealers blames this on E85 fuel and really don't have a fix for it. They keep telling me to run regular fuel and they'll reset the computer after a couple tanks of gas but running regular fuel compared to E85 is quite expensive when you fill up 2 to 3 times per week. Have you heard of this before?

This is a pretty odd diagnosis. What code did they find? What did they do to repair it?It does not seem like they put much effort into fixing this. What did they tell you about E85?Running E85 should not affect much. Post back with the code or codes.I think there clearing the code as an alternative to fixing it.I work at the dealer and nobody has ever complained about E85. None of this makes sense?
