Car cranks fine, no spark.
What is the immobilizer all about, can it be reset, how? is that the problem?
Is there a crank or engine speed sensor on this engine? Where are they and how are they tested?
Won't start, where do I start?

I am electronicly competant. Need troubleshooting guidance ASAP. What do I check and in what order?

I don't think the immobilizer has anything to do with it as it kills the starter. I would like you to check the coil for resistance. Using the pic below and a digital multi meter do the following. Check resistance between connector and the coil. First unplug the coil and check ohms between term 1 on the term and its matching term on the coil, do this for term 2 and 3 as well. It the ohms are not .5 to 1.0 ohms replace that coil. Let me know what you find and we will take it from there.
