Went to start the vehicle, pushed the push start, the vehicle did not start. No lights on the dash, the "ignition" was stuck in the run position, pushing the button again did not change the position from run. Once the start button was pushed again, the security light came on. We did 5 lock clicks on the fob in ten seconds, which disabled the security light. Attempted to start again. Then the parking, brake, battery, ABS, and ESC lights came on. Where the odometer reads, flashed through service abs, service shifter, park brake temporarily unavailable, park sense unavailable service required, service electronic braking system, ESC full off. When the hood was opened, we could hear a constant clicking.

Hi,

We will need to pull codes because this could just be a drained battery or it could be a larger electrical/module issues. Your vehicle has what is called a CAN bus network. If one of the modules is offline or has failed in other ways it can cause the vehicle to not start and set these lights.

If you can get a list of codes that will help us identify the issue. However, we may reach the point of needing a scan tool. Let me know if this is something that you are planning to work on because if it is I will need to know what level of understanding you have of these types of networks. Its not impossible but I just need to know what your comfort level is.

Is there any history to this issue or was the vehicle running fine until this happened? Thanks
