Hi folks,

My new trucktruck has a device on the dash that beeps annoyingly when I unlock the truck and sometimes when I back up (even though there are no obstacles in my path). What is this device? It is about 0.5" high, 3" wide, and 2" deep. It displays random numbers and letters, like EE, E4, E3, 15, 89, etc.

Hello,

Can you back the shot up so we can see more of what is around it? It does not look like a factory unit. Did you by the truck new or used? It could be a proximity warning sensor system lets you know something is sixteen feet away. Do you have any other lights on the dash?

Please let me know. I am interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

I ain't quite found the "Exact" one, But I feel I'm on the trail. Counting the light bars on either side of the digits rules many of 'em out.

Shy of seeing a brand name/ a daylight shot of the face/ a daylight shot of the top

This is where my curiosity has led me.

I, myself, could park either of my Jeeps at night during a sandstorm at an Atlanta Mall during Black Friday festivities. Electronics unneeded! Sorry, you must be "One" with your vehicle in order to be even half that good!

I reckon if you gander over the images, you'll spot the exact one. Click on it/ visit page/ find the brand, you may be able to find a PDF on how it operates.
