Alternator not charging the battery

Replaced the alternator. Had to clock it. Not charging battery. Battery had drained before replacement. Battery charged on battery charger.

Hi,

If the new alternator isn't charging, the first thing I recommend is to check the fusible link between the alternator and the battery.

A fusible link, in this case, will look like a traditional wire, but it functions as a fuse. If shorted, it will melt down internally. So here is what to do.

I attached the wiring schematic below for the charging system. I highlighted the fusible link. Disconnect the battery first and then check for continuity between the black wire with an orange tracer and the positive battery terminal (not the battery).
