Can you put an alternator from a 4 cylinder in a 6 cylinder car?

To answer your question, no. The 2 alternators are different in physical dimensions and design. You will have to put the V6 alternator in your car as a replacement. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any further questions on this issue. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
