Is the alternator for a 4.3 the same as 5.7. what years will interchange on a 2006 GMC Sierra.

I don't show a 5.7L engine available for the 2006 Sierra in any trim. I do see a 4.3 V6, a 4.8 V8, and a 5.3 V8, and they use the same alternator from 2005 to 2007, from what I can tell. I would definitely call a dealership to confirm fit before buying or ordering though, as sometimes these catalogs can be inaccurate.
