A few months ago my driver's side front window make a grinding sound when I was putting the electric window up and all of a sudden the whole window falls into the door. I tried to use the button to move the window back up and it won't move. It just makes a grinding sound whenever I push the button. I managed to pull the window up and stick it in place so it's up for the time being. I have no idea what happened and I don't have the funds to get this checked out since I'm a self-supplying college student. Please help me. I just need to know what's wrong with it. Thank you.

Sounds like the window regulator might have broke. Try carefully removing the door panel and you wil have access to see what happened.
