I have a 1994 Le Baron convertible, mileage 93000, 3.0L engine, on which the driver side back quarter electric window will not work. After chargeing me $105, a local Denver dealer estimated $1100 to repair. Apparently at least the the cable and regulator are shot (not sure about the motor). They said the parts were $800 in themselves. The NADA value of the car is not very high. Are there any options, such as where could I find used parts without spending a lifetime looking for them, or is there a cheap way to get it fixed. Thanks.

HAHAHA $1100 is outrageous. Both my motors are shot on mine and, from the dealership, the parts for the motor and assembly (everything but the wires that come back from the switch) will run about $350 Canadian for a PAIR. (Ebay has some full assemblies cheaper)

It's relatively easy (in general) to get anywhere in the car.

I just removed my window which was very easy task and found that you can remove motor from gear housing that is held in by two torx screws and manually spin the shaft with your fingers a few times.

It gets froze up in there and once u done that I hooked my motor up to 12 volt battery with couple test aligator clips and got the motor to work loose that way befor mounting back into gear housing.

Also maybe for future problems I squirted a very small amount of household oil into small hole of the motor housing on very bottom where motor shaft restes while holding in upright position so as not to let oil run into any of the wiring around motor shaft, that will burn it up.

I hooked motor back up to battery to make sure it got lubricated good befor returning it back into the gear housing.

I reinstalled window back into car hooked back up and amazing it still worked now so on mine that was all it took.

Now dont know if it will last but befor starting on my other side that also doesnt work I will let some time go by befor repairing it to see where I am at.

That could be your problem but never know till you try!
