Hi

my question is pretty general, I just wanted to know,

when changing your brake pads to the clips and springs need to be replaced too and if so, why?

If you have never watched a night nascar race you need to. As the driver enters the corner watch the brakes inside the wheel. They instantly glow red. On your street machine the heat while not as great is pretty severe. Over time heat weakens even the best of spring steel whether it be clips or springs. Not replacing them might be the difference in stopping or not sometime--a cheap investment.
