99 Park Ave - Stalls during left turn

Occasionally the car will stall but only on left turns. I’ve replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter, and PCV valve but the problem still persists. The car is hard to start on occasion also. Half the time the car turns over like new, 30% of the time it takes a couple of cranks but it fires right up and the rest of the time it needs gas and good cranking to turn over. When I replaced the fuel filter I noticed that it would leak at the “clip on connection” (both the old and new filter) if you twisted the filter slightly so that the hose connecting to the filter was bending slightly.

If I had to put a number on it I would say it is stalling on left turns about 15 to 20% of the left turns and it seems to be harder turns, not parking lot turns, that cause the problem.

Thanks,
Brian

Sounds to me like your belt line gets too tight and thats what makes it stall.

What? That's only slightly better than telling me you think it has to do with the engine.

I own a 1995 Buick Roadmaster Wagon and 1997 Buick LeSabre. The only time I have experienced stalling on turning seems to be when we are low on gas. Actually, sometimes there's still been at least 1/4 tank of gas left and when we turn it stalls. It only does it when our gas gets low. We just fill it back up and it never does it when it's full. (Our gas gauge is broken so we have to watch the gallons and miles).

It turned out to be the fuel pressure controller. Once replaced the line pressure stayed constant even on turns so the car does not stall.
