94 Sunbird 2.0- how do I disconnect the lockup switch

Basically, my issue in a nutshell is that after driving my car for about 15 minutes or so, it stalls. The stalling only occurs when I am in gear and apply the break to reduce my speed to idle or 0 (for instants, a red light or stop sign). I have read other forums where other people are having identical problems with their sunbirds that mentioned to disconnect the torque converter lock-up switch which should be connected to the solenoid. It was mentioned that this could lower fuel economy, however the car would not stall-which at this point is the most important thing. The problem with that is, I have looked under my car over a hundred times in the last week trying to figure out where that switch is, but it seems hopeless for a guy like me. I look under there and I can only identify a handfull of things. So if someone who speaks lehmans terms could please direct me to this switch, it would be incredibly appreciated. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place!

It's on the front of the trans below the air filter box. It has two wires going into a 1 inch diameter rubber cap. Looks sort of like a temp sensor. You can see it from the top of the car, look straight down all the way to the right. That's for the four cylinder, probably behind the heat shield on the six, where you can't reach it!

I have a 94' Sunbird had the same problem. I unplugged the purple wire on the brake light swich (inside the car). This is the power to the Torque converter clutch solenoid. I have been able to drive it without out stalling. As far as gas milage I really havn't noticed a difference. Good Luck
