2001 Stratus No start Too much fuel

My 2001 Stratus 3.0 v6 (101,000 miles) will not start. I appear to have good spark, with newer ignition components, but even cranking the engine for a few seconds, get the plugs WET with fuel. Changins the plugs, will not get the car running either, as it floods immediatly.

I have removed the fuel pressure regulator as a possible source of the problem. I cannot pass any air through the regulator, even if I apply vacuum to the vacuum port. I ahve tried cranking the engine with the regulator return line disconnected, and can get some fuel out of the unit, when the key is shut off crank, but never during cranking.

How can I test the regulator?

Could the coolant temp sensor be a problem as well? Could it be reading that the engine is very cold and giving more fuel?

Could be it and also leaking injectors and when you find fuel at the pressure regulator hose the FPR went bye-bye.

I cant imagine all 6 injectors would start to leak at once. But, then again.

I dont have any fuel in the vac line for the regulator, but I can get anything through it at all. Its possible some dirt got into it and stuck the valve.

What pressures should the fuel rail see? Any idea how much pressure it takes to open the regulator?

Thanks.
