2001 Questions for all other cars clutch problem

Hi there, I have a rover 25 and when I press the clutch down I can hear it grinding and I loud creaking noise, it dosent do it when the engine is not running. I also does it everytime I change gear but its changing gear fine. Any ideas

Hi there, I would say that the clutch thrust bearing is seizing, the gear box will have to be removed it inspect this item.

I agre with mhpautos. I also found that the clutch forks can also make that noise.
