MY Nubira recently started slipping a bit.

I have the manual 5 speed and it goes in and out of gear just fine.

However, if i step on the accelerator more then slightly it starts to slip for a few seconds then catches and goes unless i push even harder in which case it slips out then goes again etc.

Id does this in every forward gear but not reverse.

I think but am not positive that it is a problem with the pressure plate on the clutch what do you think ?

Also does my maek and model have a clutch that can be adjusted ?

And lastly what can i expect to fix this problem ?

Hey Hideous,
Sounds like a complete clutch job is in order, friction plate, pressure plate and throwout bearing. Its also recommended to get the flywheel resurfaced too!!

yep you need a clutch plate its fairly cheap the problem is labor since the transmission has to be opened.. the plate is basicly a brake pad that wears down just the same and when low stops funtioning properly
