Sir,
i have purchased a 2nd hand maruthi suzuki zen(india).
For the past 2 months I m driving it without a single problem.

suddenly one fine morining my car is not starting.
when I turn the key there is no sound of engine cranking, I can only hear a on/off sound.

I have gone thru your website and checked with r tips, but still could not isolate the problem.

kindly help at the earliest.

I am not familiar with this vehicle, but where I would start is to check the battery, the connections at the battery, the connections at the other ends of the cables and the starter. A starter motor going bad can be sometimes tapped with a hammer to joustle it enough to work. If that works, replace the starter.

You need to find where the power is getting to or not getting to. The ignition switch itself may not be working.

If the battery is losing charge it may not be getting enough charge from the alternater. IT may also be just charge removed from it from a parasitic draw. LAstly the battery may be on it's way out. If original, replace it.
