Just purchased a 1966 mgb and the fromt end is sitting higher than the back. Is there any kind of adjustment on the front to bring it down even with the back?

Hi kward,

If this vehicle uses torsion bar front suspension, then it can be lowered by adjusting the tension. Otherwise you need to change the springs.

But I thought this car was designed to be front high and rear low? (Visually I mean)

A 1966 MGB Front suspension is a wish bone coil spring with Armstrong hydraulic dampers. No height adj. Is provided. The rear is leafspring with hydraulic dampers. Also no adj. For height.
The normal road clearence is 5 inches frame to road.
If the dampers are low on fluid then the car height is affected. The fronts can be checked by jacking up car remove wheel locate filler plug on top of damper.
The rears can be accesed by removal of a rubber plug in rear floor panel. Also aged weak leafsprings will lower the rear.
Hope this helps
Use S.A.E.20W to fill damper
