Hello everyone, I am 24 year old technician with two basic ASEs. Brakes and suspension. Still learning. I like the way this site is setup. If you ask a question it is likely that someone has experienced that problem before. I will donate money when I can afford to. But it is christmas time you know.

Save your money to buy tools. A little advice, ask lots of questions to learn, learn math, learn electrical. Spend some time here, and don't be afraid to question something!

What I love about this forum is that they are very specific. They have a specific category for the car brands, the model etc. Whenever you have a question, you know that you are getting the right answers for your vehicle. Thanks to 2CARPROS. You are a great help for someone like me who doesn't have all the money in the world to spend over auto-mechanics.

Well, I'm Jake. Former Borg-Warner Engineer (laid off. PTC in Auburn Hills), Mechanical/Civil Engineering Major at WVU. Worked on some Pro stock cars, regular weekend warrior (Lapeer, Milan, Pittsburgh, Etown, and Atco got top finishes regularly) in racing, and decently mechanically inclined. I do have Bob Ingles' 2010 Ford Pro Stock heads sitting in the garage (he's a personal friend of mine.) Alongside a Ford 428 that I'm trying to decide what to do with, got half a junkyard already back home, and it's been growing steadily.

What I own now (as far as half-assembled or engine and trans still in it):
1995 Firehawk TRANS AM
1988 Chevy Camaro (PLAYERS)
1987 Formula (350/L98 w/ built 700R4)
1995 Chevy Diesel (stump puller)
1994 Chevy S10 (off road machine)
1997 Honda Accord
1992 Mazda MX-6 Turbo/4WS

Only the Accord, trucks (both), and Firehawk are tagged/street legal/on the road now. I also worked on the 2008 Chevy HHR I had (my parent's now.) And their 1994 Eagle Vision, as well as some various Internationals, Deeres, and even a Kubota back on the farm.

I guess that's really the pertinent stuff. Not going to say or pretend that I know it all. I know OHV and diesel emissions quite well, but this Over Head Camshaft stuff and newer cars with more complex, intricate electronics, well, yeah. Not my favorite thing to work with/around. And don't get me started on how much of a PITA the 4th Gen GM F-bodies are (Camaro/Firebird 1993-2002) to work on. Not trying to step on any toes here. Or show off, just wanted people to know where I come from and a little about me.
