1994 Eddie Brauer 4X4 Problems

I have a 1994 Eddie Brauer that has 4x4 problems.
The SHAFT SPINS when engaged.
The AXELS do not spin.
Can someone help me out on this problem!

94 should be a push button setup on the dash for the 4wd. Are you saying that when you engage the 4x4 the front axles do not engage?
Is it the driveshaft from the transfercase that does not engage the front differential?

PUD:
The DRIVE SHAFT SPINS but the AXELS DO NOT SPIN AT ALL.
Yes it is a push button 4x4 on the dash
